Laurel Ryosen June is a writer and healing arts practitioner, mystic and self-appointed thaumaturge, newly rooted in Santa Fe by way of California and the Olympic Peninsula. She first came here to engage a year-long contemplative residency at Upaya Zen Center and has since chosen to stay, honing her vocation through continued study and practice.

Laurel's apprenticeship of the body began with an early devotion to a career in ballet and modern dance, which equipped her with a deep kinesthetic sensibility and connection to the fundamental grace and wisdom of the human body. Over the course of her life, she has experienced several massive initiations via health crises and chronic journeys, all of which have served to deepen the breadth of her compassion and expand her capacity to meet all who work with her exactly where and how they are.

Her work over the last 9 years has evolved into a dynamic, processual braid of Daoist acupuncture, biodynamic craniosacral work, and visionary medicine, drawing on the vibrational wisdom of flowers, trees, and stones as guides and catalysts. She is also a multimodal artist, talismanic rosary maker, and devotee of stubborn joy, forever dancing and listening amidst this wild, singing world.
